Nope. A reactionary, often trivial scampuous mob responds to their tastes. Preferring sweet lies over bitter truths, votes digress to orgies of popularist rhetoric. Meaningful “votes” should come with a social contract, that your life is culpable for the outcome of those who act through power in your name (or something.) Just imagine a world where asses were bet upon delegated representation rather than merely a deferral of responsibility.
