I fully agree that this is a big issue, but I also think that an average user does not care at all. It just matches all other software and of course the web (if you ever access it without an adblock). I love my Xbox but damn that thing is full of ads. From the first second you turn it on and see the dashboard you are bombarded with ads. This is just the Microsoft way of creating UX/UI.
