Side note: And seemingly relevant in the context of startups... The Rolland drum machines as designed / intended were a failure. It wasn't until they were "repurposed" making "dance music" did they find a nichec/ market. But those machines were not originally intended to make "dance music". Thank God for Rolland's willingness to fail.
