Elon Musk says his dog is now Twitter's CEO – as company's name goes to X
- ggm 4y agoJust as Murdoch's lawyers can SAY he isn't an officer of the company and only has an honorary title, When it comes to filing in the court they had to be more directly honest that in fact yes, he did hold an office in the company and yes, they had therefore misdirected Dominion's lawyers when it came to deposing Officers and detailed statements. So Musk can SAY his dog is the CEO, but unless the case law admits the animal as a nominee and some process to determine their functional ability to act in line with company law, I suspect it's more than the ASPCA which is interested in the legal basis of this statement. Normally the problem occurs when Animals are left assets in wills. If Musk is contemplating pre-death, and this is a tax dodge, I think he's been poorly advised. If its just 420 smoke, he's been poorly advised by his dealer. Musk likes to crack jokes. As long as they're understood to be jokes all well and good. When he doubled down on "pedo guy" I think I started to realize what he says, and what it means, and the consequences for him, for everyone else can vary depending on the circumstances. Sky is in the entertainment business. If they can find a way to patch Markle, Lizzo, and Liberace into this story, as well as beat up on the left, they will. The Northern Territory News is a better source of factual reporting, "Elvis is alive on the Moon" included. With added Crocodiles.
- _zzaw 4y agoThere's no way the dog is actually CEO. Twitter would be in much better shape if that were the case. (come on, someone was gonna say it.) Attempts at humor aside, I didn't even attribute any kind of legal motive to it. I just assumed he was high/being a troll, per usual.
