I use a 2014 MacBook Pro, running Big Sur, basically daily as a low-power desktop. It is performant, runs everything I throw at it, and does so fairly silently.

I use a 2014 MacBook Pro, running Big Sur, basically daily as a low-power desktop. It is performant, runs everything I throw at it, and does so fairly silently. 16GB RAM, and an NVMe SSD in an adapter. I don't understand why this person's was stuck on Mojave, or why it wouldn't be perfectly serviceable with an SSD upgrade and an OS reinstall.
