Oh hell no, not when airlines charge huge fees for checked bags. If I’m away for less than a week I move heaven and earth to get everything into a carryon, and most people seem to do the same. You can’t blame us for responding to incentives.
- ghaff 4y agoIf I'm taking a mostly urban type trip, I can pretty much fit needed stuff for an indefinite period (which is admittedly pretty much never longer than three weeks) into a fully-compliant carry-on. About the only times I check luggage is for outdoor activities or if I have to carry business-related stuff to an event.
