- turtleyacht 4y agoIf Twitter were a MUD though, no one would consider financial status to gain favors in the world. Or even map physical to digital. Maybe that's what has changed? - Simulacra 4y agoHas anyone gotten their blue check mark paid for by fans? For instance what if a group of fans said we want to keep a famous person's Twitter account verified, so we are going to pony up the money. I know it sounds kind of ridiculous, but I saw my favorite band on Twitter and I would be sad if they left Twitter and to lose that expressive outlet for them to connect with fans.
- jacquesm 4y agoIt would be sad if Twitter left them. But we're still on schedule for that, in spite of all of the noises to the contrary. Paying Musk a couple of $ seems to me to be a rearguard action.
