- jordanarseno 4y agoIn Japan swastikas (left-facing and horizontal) are used to mark the location of a Buddhist temple. It is still common today. Open Google Maps and zoom into Japan. There are lots of temples in Kyoto, you should find this symbol in < 30 seconds.
