I probably still have a copy on a bookshelf... I'm more than a little stunned how bad it was. I was about half-way through, reading it on a weekend, all alone in the house, and my brain just kinda rebelled at the act at one point. I dropped the book, yelled out "seriously?!" to no-one, and went to get some food and take a walk before I picked it back up. I finished it out of spite and perverse curiosity. Oh boy it does not improve. Definitely agreed with your list of better books though!
