I would like to see this tech stress tested by a few of the firearm Youtubers. Perhaps Garand Thumb, DemolitionRanch, Brandon Herrera, Paul Harrell and hickok45. Send a demo model to each of them. Specifically I would like to see how much time is required in a home defense incident to activate the device, especially after the device has been used, abused, made dirty. Will it learn multiple variations of my face, such as with eye protection, without it, with dirt on my face and so on? This device also needs to go through Garand Thumb's mud-drop test. That USB port is going to need a tight fitting rubber cover. I would also like to see a tear-down, cleaning and maintenance. That should be reviewed by Paul Harrell. If it appears like I am being too harsh it should be noted that once this thing is proven then some states may implement laws requiring something like it even when it may not be appropriate and even if the tech is less reliable than traditional firearms. I envision a law requiring these devices to receive a signal from law enforcement and to self-disable and that would likely be an existing firmware toggle from a software update.
