- crooked-v 4y agoGenerally, a bribe isn't paying a person for a service, it's paying a person to not arbitrarily block you from receiving a service.
- yakubin 4y agoSame thing with the visa application fee.
- popcalc 4y agoYou do realize this removes the "merit" element from a system that is supposed to be merit-based?
- yakubin 4y agoI don’t know what merit you’re talking about. I don’t think there’s anything to remove. If I was paying for some work done, like healthcare services (separate fee) or application processing costs + documents (>£1k? definitely not), then sure, but that’s not it.
