you dont need to go further than asteroid mining and some robotic assembly platform. planets/moons are one of the worst uses of mass. I believe we'll end up making giant habitats like O'Neil cylinders and expanding using them.. pretty soon. if you combine AI with robotics and space exploration, there is not much point to doing all this manually.
