As someone who used Emacs 10yrs before ditching it.. I just really don't think it's very good at doing much. I mean sure it can sorta half ass a lot of different things but besides org-mode and magit, it's a pretty mediocre and clunky piece of software (clunky, incredibly slow, ugly, etc)
