I agree with the "start a blog" approach. It scares me to think that social networking is getting closer and closer to: "but my genitals are the most fundamental aspect of my humanity, I should be allowed to post a picture of them on my wall".
- erikpukinskis 15y agoBreasts are not genitals. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/genitals http://www.thefreedictionary.com/genitals
- lucisferre 15y agoI find it most disappointing that someone here had to be told this.
- pjscott 15y agoWhy does that scare you? This is the Internet; people post pictures of their genitals all the time, and the world does not seem substantially harmed by it, because it's usually easy to avoid seeing things you're not interested in, and the back button is easy to press. In general, I would rather not weigh ourselves down with unnecessary rules.
- k-mcgrady 15y agoThe problem with having no limits on what can be posted to Facebook is that you cannot easily avoid it. If someone you friend posts it, it will appear in your news feed. If they have a blog with pictures you don't want to see you just don't visit that blog.
- khuey 15y agoNothing stops you from hiding that person from your news feed, or removing them from your friends list entirely.
