Where I live is getting it's environmental act together. Whales have returned to New York Harbor. They're routinely found as far north as Cold Spring. Dolphins, too. Fishing boats now run whale watching tours. You can swim in the East River. The Baiji is something I'd like to save, but have no control over, and those who _do_ have control over the situation dislike me.
