io_uring is really amazing work. I've followed it's development on Twitter. I am in awe of Jens Axboe, I find him very easy to talk to and his work really amazing. If you don't know he's also the man behind the fio disk benchmark utility. Any linux/unix wizards here have any inkling of if or when or how likely it would be for common parts of tools or subsystems etc of the unix/linux stack that we use to integrate io_uring and move away from older async frameworks?
