What I've learned from this thread is that a lot of HN commenters must need help with a lot of simple and/or well documented stuff. I've just tried this with the last 3 things I had to do serious web searching for, and answers ranged from _completely_ made up to very misleading. My fears for my job, at least in the relatively short term, have subsided.
