I was simply answering someone's question about why we're seeing a lot of visceral reactions around this subject on HN and I attempted, at least, to provide a general answer without seeming biased about the subject one way or the other (hence the phrase, "agree with him or not"). Perhaps I failed there, but hey, at least I tried. C'est la vie. Your responses, however, appear to want me to push beyond what I was answering and start arguing in defense of whatever words you tried putting into my mouth with your last response. Not only is that not at all what I set out to do[1], but it's also a bad faith argument on your part. That's not the kind of discussion I feel like having right now.
