All modern TVs have circuits that detect a blank signal and turn off LEDs to reduce the power required by the device. If you’ve ever felt heat coming off your big screen, Blank makes that go away."
- mlindner 4y agoI'd note that only high end TVs actually have that functionality, and only if it's relatively new. Though it's especially true for an OLED TV, where a black pixel is a pixel drawing no power at all.
