my chromecast absolutely can turn the TV off (seems like standard cec stuff no?)
I use it all the time to turn the tv off via google assistant when I walk out of the house
- Waterluvian 4y agoWhaaaaa. How? I need to check again.
- roywashere 4y agoHDMI CEC is great if it works, but that is not always (although support got much better in the last 5 years from TV vendors)
- shahar2k 4y agomy perticular setup is chromecast connected to a soundbar (vizio) connected to the TV (LG) I use the chromecast to turn the pc on remotely. chromecast is registered with google home and all I have to do is "ok google - tv on" or "tv off" and it all just works...
