Since mom didn't work, she had time to stay home and cook without wearing herself ragged, so eating out wasn't so popular.
Obesity was also the exception then rather than the norm. Coincidence?
- rmc 15y agoSince mom didn't work, she had time to stay home and cook Mothers working? Why that would be child abuse. A mother should stay in the home and look after her children. Also, we can't have them taking jobs away from men!

- rmc 15y agoNot really. More just annoyance when people have rosy eyed view of how glorius the past was where mum stayed at home. However that was legally and socially enforced, so it wasn't so good IMO.
