It depends on what it is. If it is some exotic fashion brand that few people had heard about I would not be worried about fakes. If it was Nike however I would only buy online from the Nike store and certainly not Amazon. What I found about online stores for high fashion brands is that your credit card gets stolen at a high rate, the first thing my son bought with his debit card was a pair of Beretta pants (same as the gun) and they had a breach.
