There's not a great history of all this stuff because the sources of information are largely blogging networks that imploded, youtube videos, and a lot of private forums and events. It's really interesting that the diatribe was from 2016 because within a few years a lot of the names he mentioned would have very few supporters at a similar event. By the way, your comment was correct in that the room would have had a lot of r/atheists in it.
