Regardless of your personal view of Ken Griffin, he is a Harvard alumni. Giving back to your alma mater is an American tradition followed by many before him. I would love to be able to donate $300M to my alma mater too. Also, I would rather see billionaires donate their fortunes to universities, where they can serve the needs of the student community, university faculty and staff, than stashed in investment accounts.
