if you are deemed a harm to society due to mental health concerns, you can totally be force admitted to a mental health institution in America, and denied basic guaranteed rights - if you have committed (or have the potential to) crimes - such as the right to bear arms (yes it does happen in America), and the "right" to privacy (registering in a sex offenders registry)
