I'm going to get downvoted for being captain obvious here and also maybe because the OP is clearly sarcasm, but still can't help it ... : >Why did I waste my career being honest? Because living and ethical life is a worthy goal in and of itself, and likely a much better one (as in : in a purely utilitarian framework, simply more rewarding) than to shoot for piling up as much money as possible? I know, in Usistan, this idea contradicts the whole societal ethos to the point that it's hard to understand to most folks.
