It was jarring. One day out of the blue a couple of securitas guards were walking around with a clipboard and tapping people on the shoulder. About half the building was cleared. At the end of it they gathered everyone left into a standing room only speech and basically told us if we’re still here then we still had jobs. The tension in that room was palpable, especially since they didn’t have any microphones or anything and we had no idea what they were about to say, so some middle manager was standing on a chair yelling to tell us all this. A lot more people left voluntarily right afterwards. Who wants to work at a place that treats people that way?
