If you enjoy it I recommend a curie point thermaltronic or maybe metcal.
I love mine, never having to calibrate the tip is wonderful. Having the power draw ramp up quickly on a big ground plane is a joy.
Not fussing with a bullshit temp setting is utter simplicity.
Truly is a joy to use.
- lukego 4y agoMetcal e.g. MX500 is built like a tank and often available cheap on eBay. I picked up a bargain priced unit on a whim and it's been great. Used it to get the controller out of an ebike battery yesterday :D
