A scientist theorizing is not the same as a scientific theory. Nonfalsifiable surely ought to mean end of wits or preferably being content with simply not being able to truly know, not "anything goes". Making stuff up to ponder the possibilities is all fine, don't get me wrong. But it shouldn't be given too much weight.
