Well.. now it is. early 00's Macs were overpriced BUT they had the die-hard Apple fans which were mostly professionals with high income, then by the late to early 10's Macs were actually inline or cheaper than PCs ( and much better ), but in the last ~5-6 years the prices have been higher and higher to the point a large portion of their newly found market are being squeezed. I imagine those people are not buying PCs in droves, but they are certainly holding to their older hardware.
