Hubble Sees Possible Runaway Black Hole Creating a Trail of Stars
- ggm 4y agoAt galactic scale, an emergent feature like a line, as in this case, begs questions. If a black hole in motion leaving ejected state behind is the best fit then so much the better for a rationalisation. I bet it's moving very very fast. Better to be behind it than in front maybe. (It seemed a curiously tentative headline to me. All deep space astronomy is necessarily conjectural to observation from a small number of sources and black holes are not directly observable so all states of observation about them are at best indirect)
