Revolutionary graphene circuit promises to produce infinite energy
- gus_massa 4y agoIt looks like a rehash of an article from 2020. Old discussions: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24671279 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24671279 (148 points | Oct 3, 2020 | 86 comments) https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30494938 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=30494938 (49 points | Feb 28, 2022 | 31 comments) They claim that it doesn't break the Second Law of Thermodynamics, but they also claim that there is no difference of temperature between the parts of the circuit and they claim that they get something useful, that can be used as a battery replacement. If it's useful, you can connect it to a laser and use the laser to heat a part of the system that is far away, and make the environment around the grapheme cooler. And that definitively breaks the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
