Yep. Georgia is currently being ran indirectly by the influential dark money of Ivanishvili, who has $ worth 1/3 of the GDP of the country, made by Russian steel business in the notoriously corrupt 90's and 00's, with ties to Putin and the Kremlin.
Imagine someone in the US with $7 Trillion from Moscow and the primary spending goal of wrestling political control of the country.
- rnk 4y agoI read that story in politico, first I had heard of this. Russia has been really effective at pushing their puppets or foolish people as leaders, even into the US. It's a miracle that Ukraine has withstood them, so far at least.
