How about Sphekamak?
- adastra22 4y agoIt is toroidal, just compressed so small that the packaging is spherical.
- sbierwagen 4y ago"Spheromak" is already taken by a very different reactor design: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spheromak https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spheromak
- omneity 4y agoIt doesn't seem to be so fundamentally different. Quoting the Wiki: Spherical tokamak, essentially a spheromak formed around a central conductor/magnet
- wiml 4y agoThere's already something called a "spheromak" (I'm not sure what the difference is except they've been around for a while and apparently they're not good prospects for energy production — they have other scientific uses)
