They can simulate all they want. Having to move so many troops across the straight will result in tens of thousands of dead within the first hours. Not even talking about a years-long global economic depression if something happens to TSMC. Did they simulate that?
All these videos and simulations are as fearsome as those Russian Zvezda propaganda videos - "behold our fearsome new tank, shooting into the void". The reality catches up really fast.
- missedthecue 4y agoChina has been sanctioned in terms of western chip exports and trade. The US and Europe would suffer immensely if TSMC gets bombed out, but China wouldn't lose much chip supply.
- papito 4y agoChina gets its advanced chips from TSMC and used to get the equipment from other western manufacturers - it does not have latest-generations chip capability. They would be as f*ed as everyone, even more so.
