I think predictive crashes never really phase out. There have been a lot of predictions of the US having a deep recession for almost a decade. When you hype something up and prepare for it, it doesn’t really happen. Yes there might be some slowdown and may be a little loosening of the prices, and some might call that a crash. But in the end, banks will be bailed out, the fed will assume the debt and liquidity will be injected into the system. This is a solved problem and the government has deviced so many solutions since 2008 that it should be a non issue .
