China at the moment holds all the cards when it comes to almost everything the World relies on and I think it's safe to say China knows this. If I were a company whose fate relied on China, I would be working double time to find secondary suppliers/factories in the event of War. Companies like Apple will be crushed if and when conflict breaks out. The fallout will be incredible, everything from medicine to the latest electronics will simply vanish over night.
Interesting times.....

- pipo234 4y agoThat bag of cards held by the West is somewhat mixed when it comes (trade) war. I see mostly interdependence between countries, similar to those present at the eve of WW1. War was unlikely as no-one had a lot to gain and everyone had a lot to lose. Still it happened. I definitely would not want to be in the trenches with foreign students, financial professionals, saas consultants, venture capitalists, intellectual property lawyers and probably won't care much for human rights or free elections. Let's hope we find a way not repeat the WW1 part of history, somehow...
- TechBro8615 4y agoOne commonality between pre-WW1 and now, is that there is literally nothing the average Chinese or American person can do to influence whether or not the rich and powerful people in their countries decide to go to war with each other by sending those average people to die for them.
