Except when you're poor, it's always raining. car needs gas, then it needs work before it'll run, or it needs a new windshield, or car insurance. Dog needs to go see the doctor. or their friends have problems and need money to pay their bills. what are you trying to get them to save for, when the problem simply is they don't have enough of it?
