As a founder of a seed stage company, this is a completely reasonable request for someone who's late into the hiring process. I might screen share instead of hand it over to you out of sensitivity to investors.
Also, what percentage of the company you're getting and the valuation can be answered without seeing the cap table.
- dmitrygr 4y ago> what percentage of the company you're getting IFF you have only one class of shares and no liquidation preferences. Else the number is meaningless, because you might own 2%, but due to the above things, even on a big exit make nothing.

- solumos 4y agoThis is a very west-coast view. I've had east-coast founders/execs laugh in my face and tell me that no decent founder would ever disclose the latest 409a or any cap table information to a candidate.
