If the code is publicly available on Codeberg, won't GitHub just go take it from there and then sell it through copilot?
- juunpp 4y agoNot a lawyer, but there is an existing lawsuit against CoPilot, and Github might have some leverage from the fact that the code is hosted there (I have not read their TOS). Scraping code from a different provider and spitting verbatim copies of it stripped of a license seems like next level fuckery to me.
