I don't think you'd have to be paralyzed from a fall like that. Broken ribs sure, but he hit a lot of stuff on the way down, only really fell a couple of stories momentum wise, people fall off ladders at the hight all the time, on rare occasions does it render them paralyzed. The bullets would've killed him though. What's the suit made out of plate steel?
