I really like the Wick movies and appreciate their dedication to safety and realism on set. That said, this bothered me:
> John Wick isn’t a superhero. There are no computer-generated versions of Wick swinging from tall buildings.
The man (already seriously wounded) was ushered off the top of a multistory building, hit a fire escape ledge in the middle of his back halfway down, ricochets off a metal awning, and then stops at asphalt at the bottom.

Don't care how "tough" you are. Don't care what kind of body armor you're wearing. Don't care how much "will" and "focus" you have. Best case scenario after a fall like that is paralyzed from the waist down. Under no circumstances is someone moving under their own power assuming of course they're even conscious.
Still love the movies, but he is 100% superhuman.
- willcipriano 4y agoI don't think you'd have to be paralyzed from a fall like that. Broken ribs sure, but he hit a lot of stuff on the way down, only really fell a couple of stories momentum wise, people fall off ladders at the hight all the time, on rare occasions does it render them paralyzed. The bullets would've killed him though. What's the suit made out of plate steel?
- kevviiinn 4y agoWith the way he bent sideways over that fire escape? Definitely paralyzed
- willcipriano 4y agoI'll let my grandfather know he is paralyzed.
- kevviiinn 4y agoYour grandfather fell from 4 stories up and landed on the railing of a fire escape with his back after falling for 2+ of those?
