This is my jam. It’s really difficult to stop myself from chasing shiny things, but the last year running an app with a dead simple architecture has been very peaceful. Other than some hairy legacy stuff here and there, it all just works and the run rate is exceptionally low. When it occasionally breaks, it’s obvious what’s wrong and quick to fix. We spend most of our time making it better. Long live the 3-tier monolith.
