  That is not what you’re source says. Your source is only talking about gas consumption for production of electricity. But most consumers will use gas for heating, which isn‘t mentioned in that article at all. But ignoring that, the chart at the end shows that coal, gas and solar increased their share in electricity production, whereas it was nuclear which showed the biggest decrease.
