Coolio Died of Fentanyl Overdose
- hdjjhhvvhga 4y agoI remember the media negating the suggestion that fentanyl overdose contributed to the death in one famous case, saying it was "just 11 nanograms per milliliter of fentanyl" and an overdose would be at least twice as much. However, when you look at the cases of people who died from fentanyl overdose, 11 ng/ml is not that uncommon. E.g.[0]: > postmortem levels in the first two patients who died were 11 ng/mL (patient E) and 13 ng/mL (patient I). https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/66/wr/mm6604a4.htm https://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/66/wr/mm6604a4.htm But given the sensitivity of the topic, I don't believe it's easy to have a reasonable discussion about it, at least not yet.
