Why was this flagged? It's just a study?
While I support vaccines in general, I also see that in this specific case, a highly experimental vaccine with weak effects (doesn't prevent COVID-19 infection) and possible side effects needs to be discussed.
It doesn't take a conspiracy theorist to imagine that pharmaceutical companies would have a vested interest in promoting a vaccine that needs to be constantly updated (I remember talks of dose #3 and #4 and so on).
- klyrs 4y agoAn n=1 study on a highly politicized issue is flamebait. It shouldn't be, but this is the reality.
- Ygg2 4y ago> An n=1 study on a highly politicized issue is flamebait. It still needs investigating, you do no side favors if you just bury the findings and prevent all discussions.
- klyrs 4y agoThe health of this site depends on curation of stories to promote thoughtful discussion. Doing either "side" favors does not factor as much as you might want.
- adamkochanowicz 4y agoInvestigating would be looking at a body of research. How is cherry picking one person's experience doing any favors for objectivity?
- Ygg2 4y agoYou have a 14 year old with no known issues just keeling over and dying from vaccine. I don't think she's was first, but it's a first clear cut case. Even if it tells you nothing about vaccine, it might tell you plenty about how immune system works, if just some DNA fragment can kill you.
- adamkochanowicz 4y agoPrecisely. It's not a study. It's a case study that leverages post hoc ergo propter hoc to suggest the vaccine caused the issue. We don't know the issue wouldn't have happened anyway without the prior event because this is an account of one damn person.
- BigCryo 4y agoIt goes against the establishment narrative, and the establishment narratives cannot I repeat cannot be countered by any evidence whatsoever...
- klyrs 4y agoFor whatever it's worth, covid death statistics are also flagged here.
