Technical aspects aside, I don't see how it can compete in cost comparing with something like Spotify. If you host it by yourself and pay for the rights of the music, I can see it costing more than 10 times for the same content.
- jacquesm 4y agoStorage is dirt cheap and I already ripped my CD collection more than a decade before Spotify started up. Besides that half the stuff I have isn't on Spotify to begin with.
- TylerE 4y agoI mean, if you listen to the same few old things over and over again, sure. I listen to dozens of new releases a month...and that's not even counting back catalog.
