- codeddesign 3y agoAnd..I get downvoted for accurate information..haha Per Twitter: “State-affiliated media is defined as outlets where the state exercises control over content through financial resources, direct or indirect political pressures, and/or control over production and distribution.”
- LiquidSky 3y agoYou’re getting downvoted because you didn’t read the article, which is about this very issue. Prior to today, Twitter’s policy also said: “state-financed media organizations with editorial independence, like the BBC in the UK or NPR in the US for example, are not defined as state-affiliated media for the purposes of this policy.” Today they eliminated the clause about NPR, though the BBC one remains. Hence the article’s title.
