Read GR yonks ago, and it nearly killed me, but I still remember laughing til I cried at his description of being fed candies by the roommate of the woman he was pursuing. And growing bananas. I have no plans to read it again. OTOH I re-read V and The Crying of Lot 49 every decade or so and always have good time. But I liked Infinite Jest and have never made it cover-to-cover on anything by Joyce or Beckett.
