Few criminals consider the consequences of their actions. As crappy as it feels, harsher sentences just don't work.
- havblue 4y agoAmong other reasons, imprisonment is used for reasons of incapacitation, deterrence and rehabilitation. It should be fairly easy to see how light or no sentencing has compromised those goals.
